BioGro Awarded USDA Grant!

BioGro has been awarded a 4.9-million-dollar grant through the USDA Fertilizer Production Expansion Program to scale their dry soluble humic facility to over 7,000 tons annually, impacting up to 130,000 tons of fertilizer and 1M acres of farmland annually.

Mabton, WA – BioGro is thrilled to announce that we have been awarded a 4.9-million-dollar grant through the USDA Fertilizer Production Expansion Program, announced in 2022 to support domestic production of fertilizers and nutrient efficiency products. The grant funds will be used scale our dry soluble humic acid facility in Buckeye Arizona to over 7,000 tons annually, impacting up to 130,000 tons of fertilizer and 1M acres of farmland annually.

The Buckeye, Arizona project converts BioGro’s premium humic liquids into dry soluble granules using a thermophillic drying process that maintains the natural integrity of the humic molecule and allows the inclusion of plant extracts. Once in the soil, the granules rapidly release to an available, water-soluble form, driving N,P & K efficiency by 15, 20, and 15% respectively.

The ability to deliver our premium product in dry granular form brings BioGro to a whole new class of farms, while creating new opportunities for our long-term repeat clients.

We are truly grateful for this opportunity to bring new solutions to the people that do the important work of growing our food and we look forward to working with clients new and old on the challenges ahead.
